Living at Leopoldauerplatz

This residential building project is located in the north of Vienna on the edge of the old village centre of Leopoldau. The development comprises 19 homes and marks the eastern access to the Leopoldau village green. On the street side, the buildings are dominated by red-brown tiled roofs, the colour of which is carried across to the façade in contrast to the lighter render colour.

The short side wings on Leopoldauer Platz and Stadlweg have a red-brown wall colour with beige inlays and the long wing on Kürschnergasse has a beige base colour with red-brown contrasts. The corner of Leopoldauer Platz/Kürschnergasse will be accentuated in agreement with the city urban authority MA 19 and designed with a communal roof terrace.
This concept is to be continued on the courtyard side, where the roofs are to be flattened to enable accomodation within the roof structure.
