Foundation stone laying ceremony for the House of Health Science
There was reason to celebrate at the FH Campus Wien: last week, in bright sunshine, the symbolic laying of the foundation stone for our HOUSE OF HEALTH SCIENCES project took place – marking another milestone for the FH Campus Wien as a centre for students in the fields of health and nursing.
With the construction of the approximately 42,000 m² House of Health Sciences, additional infrastructure will be created for the education offensive in the health and care sector at the FH Campus. Thus, when fully completed, from the summer semester of 2027, the FH Campus Wien Science City will be home to around 5,000 students per year in the study and training programmes in health sciences and applied nursing science.
Elmar Danner and Martin Schrehof from the management, as well as Tobias Rath as project manager, from F+P ARCHITEKTEN were present at the laying of the foundation stone when the time capsule, filled with a miniature construction panel and an annual report of the FH Campus Wien, was symbolically buried on the site – and celebrated that our project is contributing as a further milestone to the expansion of the FH Campus Wien into Science City.
