Topping-Out Ceremony at Spengergasse

The topping-out ceremony marks a significant milestone for the residential development project at Spengergasse 45 in Vienna’s 5th district, Margareten. Together with our client, the City of Vienna – Wiener Wohnen, City Councillor for Housing Elke Hanel-Torsch, and the District Head of Margareten, Michael Luxenberger, we celebrated the successful progress of construction.

The project combines the careful refurbishment of an existing building with a modern, resource-efficient extension and rooftop addition. As part of the “Gemeindebau Neu” program, a total of 21 subsidized apartments are being created, combining sustainable construction methods with contemporary living quality.

Particular emphasis is placed on ecological measures such as vertical façade greening and climate-friendly cooling concepts. In this way, the tradition of Vienna’s historic residential architecture is thoughtfully reinterpreted while creating modern living space that integrates harmoniously into the existing urban fabric.
