Kitchen Schwarzenberg Caserne

Due to the structural condition of the existing building, which has already reached its economic durability and is not barrier-free, it is preferable to demolish object 266.

The new L-shaped structure responds in an urban planning and functional way to the axis of General Stauffenberg-Strasse and the historical urban master plan of the Schwarzenberg caserne.

The building consists of two wings: the northern wing on Schwarzenbergstraße contains the publicly accessible areas such as the dining hall and cafeteria. The western wing contains the production areas of the kitchens, such as the regional kitchen and the final kitchen.

The building opens up to the “green centre”, additional open spaces can be created in front of the dining hall and the cafeteria.

The building should present itself as a new communicative centre.
