Our project approach
As part of a competition, a residential development project was designed to be realized on properties owned by a non-profit developer and a privately financed developer.
Urban planning concept and building massing
A connecting, clearly defined base creates a unified foundation for the residential buildings, from which two differentiated building volumes emerge. While the privately financed REAL component is designed as a compact, calm structure, the taller subsidized EGW residential building sets distinctive accents with strategically placed balconies.
Architectural design + sustainability
The architecture is characterized by a sculptural façade design featuring bay windows and loggias, as well as varying base heights, resulting in a timeless and clearly legible appearance. Particular attention was given to sustainable materials, a circular construction approach, and high building physics quality. A forward-looking energy concept, along with well-considered solutions for noise protection and sun shading, complements the overall architectural concept of this competition.
