House of Health Sciences – klimaaktiv Certification

We are pleased to announce that the House of Health Sciences project at the FH Campus Vienna has been awarded the klimaaktiv Bronze certification.

The new educational building expands the Altes Landgut university campus and is dedicated to education and research in health and nursing sciences. It accommodates lecture halls, offices, a cafeteria and a ceremonial hall. Particular emphasis was placed on sustainable quality in terms of location, energy supply and material selection, including the use of a geothermal heat pump combined with photovoltaic power, extensive green roofs and rainwater retention, as well as integration into the existing infrastructure.

F+P ARCHITEKTEN and WGA Architekten jointly led the project as general planners. Through close collaboration, an integrative and holistic planning approach was pursued across all phases of the project. The targeted use of the digital planning methodology Building Information Modelling (BIM) enabled the efficient, sustainable and well-coordinated development of the building.

The klimaaktiv Bronze certification confirms that the House of Health Sciences meets the minimum requirements of the klimaaktiv building standard and underlines our commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally responsible construction.
