Klinik Favoriten Expands: Temporary Facility “Pavilion G1” Now in Operation

New Pavilion G1 at Klinik Favoriten Officially Opened

With the completion of the temporary facility required for the planned central new building of Klinik Favoriten, a significant step has been taken for the healthcare infrastructure of Vienna’s 10th district. As the general planner, we are pleased to have accompanied the implementation of this major project together with AHA Austrian Healthcare Architects.

On approximately 5,300 m² of gross floor area, a state-of-the-art building was realized on behalf of the Vienna Health Association, accommodating:

the new Breast Health Center,
digital radiology,
an interventional vascular center, as well as
several administrative office spaces.

Construction took place during ongoing clinical operations—an exceptional challenge that was successfully managed through a carefully coordinated phasing strategy.

Light, Space and Functionality

The new building impresses with its clear architectural concept: an open, light-filled structure that supports medical workflows while creating an atmosphere that promotes healing and innovation. Since its commissioning in November 2025, initial feedback from staff and patients confirms the high quality of the building, originally designed as a temporary replacement facility.
