General refurbishment Ferry Dusika Stadion

Into provide for the course of the renovation of the Ferry Dusika Hallenstadion, existing sprayed asbestos in the steel membrane roof was carefully disposed of. This was followed by technical improvement measures, such as renovation of the prefabricated conrete structure and upgrades to the façade construction with external thermal insulation and metal sheet exterior cladding. The building services were also renewed in order to improve the energy efficiency of the building.

Through the construction of new vestibules around building entrances, additional space for events and cloakrooms was created on the ground floor and plus improved access at the gallery level. The indoor cycling track was also renovated and the central straight sections were made dismountable to allow for the installation of grandstands when required. A further section of the cycletrack can be elevated to enable a level entrance to the middle section for the installation of a wide range of event facilities. An accessible seating plateau has been created for spectators with physical impairments.
