Parliament general consultant

The Austrian National Parliament is one of the most important buildingsstructures along the Vienna Ringstraße, built in the years 1874-1883 according to the plans of the architect Theophil von Hansen.

To form the basis for a general planner (lead architect) search for the complete renovation of the Parliament, F+P Architekten were comissionedappointed to prepare an overall concepta general strategy for total renovation. This was based upon total utilisation of all available spaces, all conservation works necessary to renovate this historically protected neo-historicclassical masterpiece, upgrade works to meet current national building regulationscodes, fire protection, accessibility, energy efficiency, etc. as well as suggestedefficiency improvement measures to improve efficientensure optimal use of spaces within the building. A detailed cost estimate was prepared which became the basis for the official project budget.
